Mojokerto, Al-Amin - Entering the 2026/2027 academic year, Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School in Mojokerto is welcoming new students from various regions. One of them is Ammar Hafizh Al Khariy, a student from Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), who is starting his educational journey at Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School in Mojokerto. For Ammar, the decision to board was a new experience, as this was his first time living in an Islamic boarding school. He said he was already starting to feel at home in his new environment. The presence of many friends also made the atmosphere at Al-Amin feel familiar.
"I feel like I'm at home. Lots of friends," he said, sharing his impressions.
Ammar comes from a family of three. He comes from Kupang, where his family lives, while his mother is from Central Java and works in East Nusa Tenggara. He also has a brother named Satria, who is now in 10th grade.
Being far from home hasn't dampened Ammar's enthusiasm for learning. He chose Al-Amin with the hope of seeking knowledge and gaining new experiences. Islamic boarding school life provides a space for him to learn independence, adapt, and meet friends from various regions.
Behind his new journey, Ammar also carries a dream. He wants to become a pilot and hopes to have the opportunity to travel and visit various places. For him, this dream is one of the reasons he continues to learn and grow.
