Mojokerto, Al-Amin – Achmad Sakha Arkan Fawwaz, a 7th-grade B student at MTs Pesantren Al-Amin, won 3rd place in the National Series of the DPD RI Cup in collaboration with the Indonesian Student League (BLIPSI) in Surabaya.
Shaka’s success in this national-level competition is the result of the training and hard work he has put in for a long time. An active member of the soccer club, Shaka continued to hone his skills until he finally participated in the team tryouts. Out of more than 100 participants, only about 30 players born in 2014 were selected, including him.
Playing as a striker, Shaka underwent a month of preparation before the tournament. He also trained regularly three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
For Shaka, the most memorable moment during the match was scoring a goal. However, taking a penalty kick was one of the most nerve-wracking situations. To stay calm, he made it a habit to recite the istighfar and basmalah.
After winning the championship, Shaka expressed his joy and pride. His family’s support has been a vital part of his soccer journey, especially since his father and grandfather also have experience as soccer players.
Despite having achieved national recognition, Shaka remains eager to continue improving. He is scheduled to compete again on November 7 in Ponorogo.
Shaka also shared a message with his friends who share a similar interest: “If you like soccer, join a club so you can achieve your dreams.”
This achievement serves as an inspiration for the students at Al-Amin IIBS to continue developing their potential, pursuing their interests, and daring to excel in the fields they love.
