Mojokerto, Al-Amin — Students from the Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School’s MTs program won second place in the 2026 ESI Youth Championship after competing against 74 other teams. The tournament took place on October 23–25, 2026, at the Mojokerto Regency Education Office Sports Hall and was part of the 2027 National Village Day celebrations.

This achievement is all the more impressive given that the team had only two nights to prepare, with about five practice sessions. Despite the short timeframe, they made the most of their time to develop strategies and strengthen their teamwork.

For this team, victory isn’t just about individual skill. Mutual trust and maintaining communication during matches were key to unifying their gameplay. They also realized that gaming ability must be paired with an understanding of strategy—not just aimless play.

“If you want to be good at gaming, you have to understand the mechanics first; you can’t just play haphazardly,” explained one team member.

Finishing in second place was a valuable experience and a source of motivation to keep improving. They hope to enhance their skills, refine their gameplay, and achieve even better results in future competitions.

This achievement demonstrates that students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Pesantren Al-Amin have the opportunity to develop their potential in various fields, including esports. With a spirit of learning, teamwork, and a willingness to continuously improve, this accomplishment is expected to serve as the first step toward future achievements.
