Mojokerto, Al-Amin - The Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren Al-Amin) futsal team from Mojokerto won first place in the IMJ UIN Malang Futsal Competition 2026 held in Jombang. This achievement was achieved after the Al-Amin team played a solid game through the series of matches until the final round.
This success is due to the unity, cooperation, and enthusiasm of all the players. Each match was approached with focus, communication, and a commitment to maintaining sportsmanship. Solidarity is crucial for the team in facing any opponent.
To prepare for matches, the team trains once or twice a week on weekdays. When preparing for tournaments, the intensity of training increases to three or four times a week, including special physical training on Saturdays. The players also manage their time between training, studying, and boarding school activities.
One of the players, Wildan Pasha Firdaus, a student in grade XI A who plays as a pivot, was also part of the team in the competition. He revealed that he has been actively playing futsal since the beginning of grade 9. He believes that team cohesion is one of the keys to success in matches. "We try to stay united and support each other to achieve victory," he said.
In preparation and training, the team received guidance from Ustadz Ardi and Pak Minu, as well as support from parents, teammates, and classmates.
In addition to winning first place with the team, Wildan also received an award for Top Scorer. This success motivates the Al-Amin team to continue developing their skills and achieving success in future competitions, including tournaments outside the Mojokerto region.
